This Monday, March 2nd, we were able to successfully down Sartharion with one drake still up. We were very excited to do this. It is a difficult thing to add the drakes because of the increased complexity they bring to the fight in terms of damage, adds, and raid-wide debuffs. According to GuildOx, Force Recon is the 47th guild on Argent Dawn to complete this achievement.

We had practiced it for a few weeks but then had stopped working on it so we could devote the time to defeating Malygos. When we went back to try it again, we found that it all came together easier than we expected.

Our goal is to be able to down him with all 3 drakes up so this is an exciting first step towards that. If we can get him with all 3 drakes alive at the start of the fight, we will not only get additional loot for the first two drakes, but also the Reins of the Black Drake.
