Last night, we killed Professor Putricide in 10 man ICC. We had been trying for several raids and it was great to finally kill him.

I have an add-on that captures a screenshot of every achievement I get. Here is the screenshot of the moment that Putricide went down and we all got the achievement for The Plagueworks.



As you can see, we did a lot better on that try with the strategy that Terreis suggested. Sleepy had just gotten his 4th mutated plague and I had taunted off, which put us at between 80 and 90 seconds in phase 3. And the fight is still totally controlled as you can see that no one has died and the damage was healable at that point.

I'm excited that we got Putricide. It's always good when we can talk through fights and figure out what to do differently to succeed.

Interestingly enough, while I was looking at screenshots today, I found this screenshot from exactly one year ago.



This is when we got The Dedicated Few achievement in Naxxramas. It's fun to look at gear, health, and dps differences between then and now. Also, my screen is way more cluttered now!

I'm glad that we have had the opportunity to see so much end-game content with Wrath and that we have been so dedicated in pursuing our goals. As we're nearing the end of Wrath, I'm looking forward to downing the Lich King, checking out Sunwell 2, and getting ready for Cataclysm.

Here is the recording of last night's putricide kill. I'm going to research DPS'ing as boomkin during a moving fight on EJ some today. I'm also going to research the next boss fights since I barely had a clue what was going on last night, hehe.
I would have preferred having the video from my normal healer point of view, but this will do for now. I also need to move my tooltips a little to the left it seems. It's covering my enemy buff bar.

Since Kori and I hear each other on our speaker's we are used to how we sound. Though the first time I heard myself I thought I sounded dorky too.

Heh, I 'm just glad I didn't have it recording outgoing sound, so my dorky voice isn't on there.

I wasn't planning on it, I just decided to hit the record button just as we started since I didn't have our first kill recorded. I wanted video proof of our awesomeness, hehe.

and i have to say it was dang good considering i could not see any buttons the whole fight i was going off of memory and hoping i did not need to do cooldowns also because well because i could not see them or my health i just had blind faith in our healers

Watching and listening to this is making me wish we had some previous boss kills recorded. In particular, I'm remembering Brostin screaming like a little girl in vent when he and Nath got ice-blocked in the last 5% of KT in the first Undying run. That vent was so amazing.

I'll have to learn how to record like this.

Since TR consists of many members from our set team and many from Burnt out Raiders I'm wondering if we should post our videos on the TR site for the people who don't really do 10 mans. This would show then how each group handles the fights.

Well, BoR had done all the bosses in 10 man I believe. I did post this on the DoE forums since they should be coming up to Putricide soon. But feel free to post the links anywhere you want. I put them on youtube precisely so everyone could spread them around if they wanted to.

I've had a few people asking me questions about how I took the video and what I did with it to post it to youtube. I'll put a quick rundown here of how to do it.
1. Fraps. This is the program I used to record. Basically I hit F9, it starts recording, I hit F9 and it stops recording. You end up with multiple 4GB files at the end. There are lots of settings, you can have it go with a slower framerate, lower quality, only pickup incoming sound, not outgoing sound, etc. I think it may have a time limit on the free version. I was more than happy to pay the one time fee to register it.
2. Virtualdub. Completely free, open source video editing program. You set all your settings and save those settings so that it will output a file that Youtube likes. Here are the instructions for those settings: http://www.donsalva.com/virtualdub-720p-hd-settings-youtube/ Then you add your files that Fraps made and start it converting. When it's done you should have one single, MUCH smaller file.
3. Youtube. Now you just create an account on youtube and upload the file. Youtube puts up multiple quality versions starting with the worst, but eventually you'll end up with the clear version you uploaded after an hour or so.
